Pancit Canton, etc

Sitting at Pho Bac resto at past 2, I texted Jon and said, "Portugal la! I ordered na." And he texted back saying he's so upset with the cab driver. I thought, "He's baaack!" Haha!

Gosh I missed my kiddo :p Coming off from his holiday vacation, we decided to meet up on the eve of the year's first work day. So after having a delish Vietnamese lunch (becoming a staple now), we headed to Rustan's for grocery-- and a lot of it hehe. I got so amused at us going to each and every aisle. We passed through the candies isle and I heard, "Myls bilis, alis na tayo dito!" Hahaha! But we came across lots of Hershey's chocolates and he said that I can pick what I want and it'll be his treat. Heehee... so of course I got the dark ones ;)

We passed by another isle and he suddenly said, "Uy pancit canton! O bilis Myls, Imma get you pancit canton. Alin gusto mo?"

Let me give you a bit of flashback... Jan 3, Saturday:

Jon: tomorrow
Jon: ill see you
Jon: huy
Myls: yup! see ya!
Myls: what
Jon: wala pala ko pasalubong
Jon: didnt have time na
Jon: kahit isang chocolate
Jon: wala
Myls: so may utang ka
Myls: :))
Jon: ill buy u na lang pansit canton
Jon: bukas
Myls: HAHAHAHAHA!
Jon: 2 pa
Myls: fine
Jon: san ba kasi galing yun
Myls: SAYO!!
Myls: duh!!!
Jon: ay
Jon: hahaha
Myls: hahahaha
Jon: sakin ba
Myls: oo!!
Jon: where did i get it?
Myls: when you were making kulit about my TIN #
Myls: remember?
Myls: sabi mo
Jon: oo nga
Myls: "sige na please! bigyan kitang pancit canton"
Myls: =))
Jon: hahaha
Jon: fine
It'll be corny to elaborate on the pancit canton thingy so I'll save it hehe. Anyway, he didn't get me two unlike what he said. He got me five. Hehe! Sooweeet!

After grocery, we claimed some pictures from his trip that he sent to printing. Then we went straight to Greenbelt for our first Kikay session - FOOT SPA!!! I'm a sucker for foot spa y' know! Jon is not but I think he liked it. Goodie! And oh yeah, I just had to take a picture (so nanay).

Then we grabbed dinner at Kenny Rogers, and tried to look for havaianas for him but ended up buying a sleeveless top from Adidas. Maybe because I'm so notorious at making people buy stuff that he started joking, blaming me for his new purchase. I protested, "Hoy, di na nga ako nagsasalita dito no!" Haha!

For the last stop, we went to Starbucks to have Coffee Jelly. We enjoyed our drinks for about 30 minutes and had a laptop session, looking at the pics from his trip (and laughing at a lot of them hehe). Most of all, we were trying to grab what's left of the holiday break. Tomorrow, it's crunchtime again.

We called it a night at 9pm and hugged bye.

When I got home, I got into my sleep clothes and then went online to continue watching Ugly Betty. Since I wont be at the office until early GY, I thought I'd try to switch back to work day clock.

At 11:30, Jon texted.

"How's the pancit. Eating one now."

Heehee :p

Reyna Lang

A good friend of mine told me about an incident he and his mom had while shopping. My friend was wearing his Cartier watch as he and his mom looks around. Then he came across this girl and he felt a bump. They realized that their watches had hit each other, to the girl's horror. She started giving a monologue, claiming that her Philip Stein is new. Upon hearing it, my friend's mom suddenly came up to the girl and said,

"Excuse me... Cartier (points to his watch)... Philip Stein (points to her watch)... BIG DIFFERENCE!!! (walks away)"

[insert applause here]

Birthday! Birthday!

Another year, another celebration! It's even better this year because we're having double celebration! Coincidence or fate, I'm born on Dec 19th and Jon is on Dec 20th.

This year, I held my birthday dinner at Thousand Cranes, Greenbelt 3 where we feasted on Shabu Shabu. I'm sooo happy that I was able to gather some of my precious friends.

Ron, Neil, Allan and Rui-- you're wanted!! :p Missed you!

DBK: B'ley, Owen and Noel

From the 4am Session: Troy; Gian and Char

and of course my boys. ang lilikot!!!

will be his birthday in a few hours :)

sumi-sitcom; tume-teleserye (haha)
Happy Birthday... Noel? hahaha

Noel, ang cute ng alaga natin. LOL

This one's a favorite :)

We called it a night at around 11:40pm. As usual, Jon and I would be heading to his place where I'll get my cab. But it was really hard to hail a cab from Greenbelt so Jon and I (in heels!) did a 15-minute walk from Greenbelt to his house. We were already at Leviste when I looked at my watch and announced, "BIRTHDAY MO NAAAA!!!!" Hence the birth of our "Birthday Dance"...5 6 7 8!

"Happy Biiiiirthday To You..."
(hitchhike!) L-R-L-R-L-R and KICK!

Later that day, my boys and I finally went on a double celebration that Jon and I have been planning for months. We went out of town! Woohoo! It was great having a roadtrip and pigging out in Tagaytay, especially if it's with good-vibed friends! See, ang gugulo nila grabe haha!

After lunch at Josephine's. Everyone's recharged. And Taal has always been beautiful!

after going back and forth, we finally found Bag O' Beans!

Happy Birthday Jon!!!
Giving you a huuuug!

Before heading back home, we lounged at Starbucks where we had our gift-giving. Looked like everyone had good gifts. Here's what I got from my dear boys:

"Alexandria" from Steve. The fifth book from my favorite Gryffin and Sabine series; A really nice bangle (really smart!) from Paul; and Christian Dior eye creme and Bvlgari soap bars from Jon.

How cool is that?! But my favorite of all is this extra-touch...

Ang galing lang! Thanks to everyone who greeted, gave their wishes, and celebrated with me/us :)

Much love,
Myls

Malaysian Getaway

November 20. Out on a 4-day vacay in "Malesha truly eeesha" (LSS by Jon) playing mom to three beautiful boys. The eldest can't stay put and is all over the place (makes me think he should be the youngest). The middle sits quiet but adorable. And the youngest is so hyper and talks a lot. Here are some highlights:

I heart Petronas! Never seen anything like it...

We were also amazed at the biodiversity of the place. KL is definitely not as polluted as Manila. You can actually see a vast spread of palm trees all over the place while landing.

Cable car to Genting.
First time on a cable car. Weeee!!!
At the theme park. See, Jon can't stay put!

Space Shot -- the best!!!

Finally, Paul Sy!

I was having cranky attacks during dinner. First because it's almost time of the month. Second because they were too hungry to let me take a shower! But I appreciated it later because we took a 20-minute walk hehe.

Squatter?
Jon and I setting up the cam.

Tada! Tada!
I loooove my boys... needless to say.

TouristasFisho Spa!
I'm gonna make them all fat!

Dumay-off sa Pavillion mall hehe.
Like my skirt? :p

Just look at this adorable kid...
As majestic in the morning.
The Petronas Skybridge Show!
More pics at my multiply site.

It was so much fun and was worth all the hassles we had pre-trip. I still couldn't stop looking at the pictures. The last thing we said about the trip?

"Let's do that again!"

Start of Something New

Currently hooked with High School Musical and regretting I didn't watch the first two in the big screen. Here's my favorite from the first movie. Luv it luv it luv it!

Living in my own world
Didn't understand
That anything can happen
When you take a chance
I never believed in
What I couldn't see
I never opened my heart (ooh)
To all the possibilities (ooh)
I know that something has changed
Never felt this way
And right here tonight

This could be the start
Of something new
It feels so right
To be here with you (ooh)
And now looking in your eyes
I feel in my heart (feel in my heart)
The start of something new

Now who'd of ever thought that (ooh)
We'd both be here tonight (ooh yeah)
And the world looks so much brighter (brighter)
With you by my side
I know that something has changed
Never felt this way
I know it for real

This could be the start
Of something new
It feels so right
To be here with you (ooh)
And now looking in your eyes
I feel in my heart
The start of something new

I never knew that it could happen
Till it happened to me
I didn't know it before
But now it's easy to see

It's the start
Of something new
It feels so right
To be here with you (ooh)
And now looking in your eyes
I feel in my heart

That it's the start
Of something new
It feels so right (so right)
To be here with you (ooh)
And now looking in your eyes
I feel in my heart
The start of something new
Start of something new
The start of something new
